During my train rides to Menton from Nice, we always passed a lovely seaside town just 10 minutes out of Nice.  So when I had a morning free from filming, Bernard and I decided to stop at this beautiful town which was called Villefranche sur Mer. We were not disappointed either. It is one of the most quaint, cozy, and gorgeous towns I’ve ever seen and I instantly fell in love with it.  By the price of the housing, I wasn’t the only one.  In fact, Tina Turner lives in the town’s hillsides. Visit this charming town with me.

This brings back memories! I don’t know if a cruise ship is parked at sea everyday, but I would not be surprised. I think this might be one of the few ports for cruise ships in France. Villefrance is so laid back… We walked through town looking at the architecture as you did, wandered into a little church, through the centuries old covered streets. I think you could just sit at one of those sea side bistros all day and sip a glass of wine. This town is a photographers dream… all the beautiful colors. Would be glad to visit there again.

    Heya :)

I was in Paris earlier this year but it was sooo cold. Hopefully I will be going to France again this summer, I am so looking forward to it. This time I want to visit the countryside and the smaller villages!

Thanks for your post, it made me wanna go to France even more!
