French Alps Tours

Beaufortain Mountain small sizeTours of the French Alps – Designed and Led by Me!
When people think of the French Alps, they think snowy mountains, Mont Blanc, Chamonix and the Tour de France. Perhaps that’s why virtually every tour of the area involves bicycling, motorbiking, hiking or skiing. But there is so much more to see and do in the region – and most of it doesn’t involve snowy mountains or bicycles. As an American expat living in the French Alps, I am astonished every day at the diversity of landscapes, amazing beauty, and endless activities that the region offers. After spending several weeks looking for sightseeing tours of the French Alps and not finding any, I decided to offer one myself.  My mission is to share with the rest of the world the breathtaking beauty I experience everyday. I’m partnering with a British-based tour operator, Karibuni, who has been offering sports weekender tours in the area for five years. Together we have created a tour representing the best that the area has to offer from tastings of wines, chocolates, cheeses, and walnut oil, to Medieval towns and castles, to a Mont Blanc cable car ride, to spas, boat rides and gorgeous landscapes. You will not find another French Alps tour like this anywhere.

Your French Alps Tours

Welcome to the French Alps! We have assembled a portfolio of the best of the French Alps. The program has been carefully designed to touch on the best that the region has to offer. I have personally created this tour keeping in mind the places that has brought me the most pleasure in the two years of living here, as well as focusing on those things that are unique to this region and can’t be experienced in other parts of France. Illuminations Festival Lyon

Wander the Medieval town of Annecy, nicknamed the Venice of the French Alps, and take a boat ride on its crystal blue lake. Do you like pampering yourself on your vacations, then why not spend an afternoon at the Aix les Bains thermal baths inside your lakeside hotel? Are you the adventurous type? Then take a horseback ride in the Alps or fly through the trees at the High Ropes Adventure. Are you a foodie?  Taste local chocolates, cheeses, wines and walnut oils. But don’t just taste it - cook it too at a cooking class taught by one of Grand Bornand’s best chefs and restaurateurs. Are you a history buff?  Then satisfy your curiosity at Lyon’s Old Town or Vienne’s Roman Temple and Forum. Or just enjoy watching the hang gliders and sunset at a catered outdoor dinner on the top of a mountain overlooking Annecy’s lake. And don’t worry, you’ll have a few hours most days to explore on your own, shop, or just take a French siesta. And for the ultimate in relaxation, spend a couple of evenings in your hotel’s thermal pool and saunas in Aix les Bains.
