This was the real surprise of Torino. The Egyptian Museum is one of the largest as well as the oldest Egyptian Museums in the world. It was founded in 1824, however as early as the 17th century more than 5,000 of the museum’s objects were held in the palace (now the museum). Today the collection numbers more than 25,000 objects. I was stunned at the rarity and quality of the artifacts at the museum. My favorites were the Hall of Pharoah statues (including a brilliant statue of Ramesses II) and the Tomb of Kha and Merit, which held daily objects owned by a wealthy Egyptian couple dating back to 1400 BC. The Museum alone is worth a visit to Turin.
This is the final video of Torino. I hope you enjoyed them.
