Biography

Unlike many Americans, I never dreamed about living in France. In fact, I’m an Italophile, having studied in Italy as a college student, vacationed there for 20 years and lived there from 1998-2000. But as fate would have it, I fell in love with a Frenchman in 2005 who I met during a train ride in Provence. After 2.5 years of a long distance relationship between Los Angeles and Chambery, I sold my house, ended my thriving and successful consulting business, and dragged my poor cats to Chambery at the ripe old age of 49 (me that is, not my cats).

Needless to say, it has been an adventure ever since. For those of you who do have fantasies of living in France, you may find this blog of interest. If you want some insider tips about traveling in or experiencing France, check out my videos. Or if you’ve ever had dreams of dropping out of the rat race and starting over, this blog may describe the joys, frustrations, and adventures of doing just that. In any case, I hope you find it interesting and sometimes a little amusing.

I am not compensated in any way by the establishments that I recommend in my blog or videos.

I respect your privacy and will NEVER sell or exchange your email addresses if you subscribe to my blog or buy a product.

Thanks for joining me in the adventure.
